The Thai culture is predominantly based on Buddhist teachings which reflect the rule of Karma. This interesting yet mesmerizing day tour in Chonburi brings you on a discovery of Thai beliefs in retributions of Karma and life after death. Starting with the Baan Saen Hell Garden which is a monastery and temple in the province of Chonburi, this is one of many such Buddhist retreats where monks and Buddhist scholars go to reflect on mortality and morality in their preaching. The garden represents a Heavenly Kingdom on one side and a Hellish existence where souls are purged of their wrong-doings before reincarnation. In between the two are examples of right and wrong values in life. You can do merit making here or feed the large tortoises that inhabit the pond at the monastery. This place is mostly frequented by Thai families who bring their children to learn about being good and for picnics especially on weekends.
